Homewatch 0.0.5
This release improves NVR channel viewing and makes recent camera previews more
useful on the Homewatch home screen.
- Fixes missing audio when an expanded NVR channel uses the Low-quality grid
stream by giving the selected channel a dedicated audio renderer and clock. - Keeps NVR mute, pause, focus, and quality changes synchronized so only the
selected channel can produce audio. - Adds NVR-backed camera shortcuts to the main Cameras screen. These reuse the
saved recorder connection and channel number, so they do not ask for child
camera credentials or create another direct camera connection. - Clarifies the difference between viewing through an NVR and setting up an
independent camera connection, including useful guidance when a child UID
does not offer its own LAN, P2P, or relay route. - Captures a recent frame from an already-open live stream without starting an
additional background connection, then updates the home-screen card
immediately. - Shows a localized cache date and time on camera previews and selects the
newest available direct-camera or NVR-cached frame. - Separates showing cached previews from automatically refreshing them, so
cached frames remain visible even when background preview connections are
disabled.
Homewatch remains an independent client. NVR-backed shortcuts and local display
preferences do not copy child-camera passwords or change recorder settings.
